The modern emblem was confirmed at April, 20, 2000 by decision No. 16/4 of city council. A field per fess by or barrulet on azure and sable. There is or sun with six falcate rays in the first part. There are two crossed or hammers and or number 1777" under them. The emblem adorned by decorative cartouche, crowned by argent mauerkrone with three towers and enframed by feather-grass twined by vert ribbon with or superscription "Makiivka".
