Pristina, Prishtine/Prishtina (Albanian) or ???????? (Serbian) is the capital city of Kosovo, a UN andministered territory located at 42?40?N 21?10?E. It is estimated that the current population of Pri?tina is as high as 500,000. The city has a majority Albanian population, alongside other smaller communities such as Serbs, Bosniaks and Roma. The territory's interim government and the United Nations administration in Kosovo (UNMIK) have their headquarters in the city. It is the administrative, educational, cultural center of Kosovo. Pri?tina is home to the University of Pri?tina. Pri?tina has an international airport — Pri?tina International Airport, whose IATA airport code is PRN and ICAO ID is LYPR (temporarily BKPR while UNMIK in effect).
