Obrenovac is a city located in Serbia and Montenegro at 44.66? North, 20.21? East. Its name stems from last name "Obrenovi?" which in turn stems from name "Obren" in Serbian language. In 2003 the county has total population of 75,949.
Obrenovac is situated 30km south of Belgrade near a bend of the river Sava. There is a coal-fired power station on the outskirts; its chimney is widely visible as the surrounding area is generally flat. There is a regular market in the centre of the town.
